PROPOSED NAVAL DEVELOPMENT REJECTED BY AMERICA. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, February 16. (Received February 17, at 11 a.m.) The House of Representatives by 123 votes to 114 eliminated from the Naval Appropriation Bill funds to develop Guam. Opponents declared that the project would increase the danger of United States involvement in Far Eastern conflicts. NAVAL APPROPRIATION PASSED WASHINGTON, February 16. (Received February 17, at 2 p.m.) The House of Representatives passed the 966,000,000d0l Navy Appropriation Bill after eliminating Guam.
