PASSING DF LORD TWEEDSMUIR CANADIAN PREMIER'S APPRECIATION Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright Official' Wireless.) RUGBY, February 14. (Received February 15, at noon.) The Prime Minister of Canada has sent the following message to Mr Eden:—“ Please accept the warmest thanks on behalf of the Canadian Government and people for the telegram with which you record the deep regret of the British Government at the passing of Lord Twecdsmuiiy and the desire to be associated with us in our national sorrow. By his broad humaiiitv, great gifts, high conception of his office, devotion to duty, unsparing dedication of himself to the service of Canada, wide knowledge of our country and people, Lord Tweedsmuir endeared himself to all classes of Canadians. His passing is regarded as a personal loss in thousands of homes in this land. “ The telegrams of sympathy which reached us from all parts' of the world bear witness to the affection, regard, and admiration which ins character and the labours of his life won for him among men of many races. Everything he did and. said brought honour to the country ot Ins' birth and the country of his adoption. His presence amongst us made our people proudly happy, and an example such as his will remain an abiding memory in this laud, which he loved so much and served so well.” .
