FORBURY SCHOOL COMMITTEE
Tlie monthly meeting of the Forbury School Committee was held on Monday evening, Mr A. G. Monk being m the Cll Mr A. Hanna, the newly-appointed head master, was welcomed by the reported that the school roll opened with an attendance of 515 children, a slight decrease on last year’s figures, but this was to he expected at the beginning of the year. He also advised that swimming had begun and would continue for a period of 13 weekly lessons. ... Owing to the Centennial picmo being held shortly it was decided by the committee to abandon the usual school picnic for this year. The committee also decided fo hold the animal flower show on March 8. Accounts amounting to £lO 2s 8d wore passed for payment.
