PRICE TO FACTORIES AND SHOPS INCREASED COSTS TO MILLS MUCH HEAVIER (Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February 8. An increase of 15 per cent, in tho price to factories and shops of the output of all New Zealand woollen mills came into effect yesterday. It was stated that this increase had been approved by the Price Tribunal after representations by mills of substantial advances in the cost of tho New Zealand clip since last season. It was stated in Auckland that tho wqol prices to mills had increased by well over 30 per cent. Under the Government’s scheme of appraisal tho farmer received an average price of 12Jd per lb over a wide range of grades, and the cost to mills had gone up very considerably, especially for some of the finer quality wools. It was also explained that in a finished factory article the increase would bo on the woollen material used in manufacture. It would not bo based on the labour cost.
