ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
LINESMAN KILLED. Thomas Harwood, assistant linesman, aged 66, employed Ly the Cambridge Power Board, fell from a street pole yesterday and broke his neck. Artificial respiration for three-quarters of an hour was resultless. The line was dead at the time. A mark on the deceased’s boot indicated that he had slipped from the ladder and fallen 23 feet to the ground.' He leaves a widow and a large family, DEATH FOLLOWING FALL. The death occurred in the Dunedin Public Hospital this morning of David Auld, aged 70 years, who was admitted ti» tlie institution at midday yesterday suffering from concussion. _He had fallen off a ladder while painting his house at 20 Angle Avenue, Anderson s Bay.,
