DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB
COMMITTEE MEETING .The monthly committee meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club, held yesterday, was attended by Messrs A. C. Hanlon (chairman), A. Barnett, A., Clark, C. N. Draper, A. P. Greenfield, J. A. Gow, W. Garrett, B. S. Irwin, L. J. Potter, A. N. Smith, and Drs F. S. Batchelor and K. Ross. In connection with the summer meeting the following Judicial Committee was appointed:—Messrs L. C. Hazlett, B. S. Irwin, C. N. Draper, W. Garrett, and A. P. Greenfield. Messrs W. Garrett, A. N. Smith, and L. J. Potter were elected an Entertainment Committee.
As some members had used the first day coupon and others the second day coupon for the one day meeting held in October, it ‘was resolved to print a special members’ ticket for the third day of the summer meeting, and post same, to all members of the club. It was resolved to grant the use of Wingatui Racecourse to the Centennial Committee for children’s day on February .20-, and to erect a dais on the Selected site for the speakers. It was resolved to allow all soldiers in uniform free admission through a special turnstile or through the gate at the members’ motor enclosure. Two new. members were elected.
