ST. CLAIR LADIES' CLUB ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the above chib was held yesterday afternoon, Lady Sidey, presided, occupying the chair. There was a good attendance of members. Moving , the adoption of the report and balance sheet, the President * congratulated the club on its continued financial ■ stability, and expressed; her appreciation of the good work of the retiring committee. Lady Sidey paid tribute to the long association. with the club and committee work which the retiring vice-presidents, Mrs A. Paterson and Mrs A. Smellie had to their credit, and expressed'the deep regret of all members on their retirement. The following officers were elected President, Lady Sidey; vice-residents, Mrs M. Jones and Miss Macbeth; captain, Mrs F. Sheriff;' deputy-captain, Mrs Crimp; committee—-Mesdames M. Williams, St. George, A. H. Brown, and Miss E. Barry ; audtior, Mr L. N. Satterthwaite; secretary and treasurer, Mrs G. Burnett. A flag match was played for trophies presented* by Miss Macbeth. lowing -were the winners and best scores:—A grade: Mrs Justice, 90—16 —74. B grade; Mrs J. Boyd Deaker, 107—36—71. ' Mrs. Justice had one stroke left after completion of 18 holes, and placed the flag well along the nine-, teenth fairway, whilst Mrs Deaker finished her extra' strokes on the nineteenth green. Other scores were;—A grades Mrs Strang, 93—18t-75; Miss Macbeth, 95—17—78; Mrs M'Carthy, 86—7—79. B grade: Mrs A. Smellie, 98—24—74; Mrs St. George, 103—27 76. The following reductions-in-handi-caps ensued t —Mrs Justice 16 to ,15, Mrs Deaker 36 to 32, Mrs A. Smellie 24 to 23. . LICENSED VICTUALLERS' TOURHAIiriNT The Otago licensed victuallers and wholesalers’ tournament! was held on the St. Clair Links' yesterday. Conditions were excellent, and some fair cards were returned, the course being in excellent order. The championship (Dewar Trophy) was won by A. P. Greenfield, 90—20—70, the runner-up (Teacher Rose Bowl) being T. Roff, 97 __24__tf3. The Bell’s Wooden Spoon was presented to J. W. Young, ISO, and the West End Trophy (for the best gross score) to F. Sherriff, 84—12—72. The friends’ match was’ tied for by L. W. Todd, 89—19—70, and H, W. Wolstenholme, 88—18—70. The leading scores were:—A. P. Greenfield, 90—20—70; F. Sherriff, 84 —12—72; J. Ainger, 1 97—24—-73; T. Rolf, 97—24—73; R. Arnott, 84—18— 76; J. Hinehcliff, 94—16—78.
