TERRITORIAL ASSOCIATION

TAIERI BRANCH A meeting of the Taieri branch of the Territorial Association, held at Mosgiel, was attended by the follovying:—Messrs W. P. Hartstonge (in the chair), F. Cheyne, J. B. Hey, W. A. Gillon, C. Cole, and F. Thnrlow. Lieutenant Cole reported that since the last meeting 17_ recruits had passed the medical examination, while five others had advised that they would join the platoon. The Chairman reported that a suitable training ground had been obtained and steps were being taken to arrange for a hall for lectures, and also a room for equipment. The membership fee was fixed at a minimum of ss, and it was decided to canvass for members.

It was decided to continue the canvass for further recruits which would be required even after the full strength of the platoon had been obtained.
