ROTORUA CHAMPIONSHIP [Pee United Press Association.] ROTORUA, August 24. The quarter and semi-finals in the Rotorua amateur championship were played to-day. Results :—• Quarter-finals. —C. H. Wells (Gisborne) defeated S. B. Longuet (Wellington), 4 and 3; M. D. Carr (Rotorua) defeated P. Ralph (Remuera), 4 and 3: R, H. Glading (Hamilton) defeated E. S. Toogood (Gisborne), 6 and 4; J. E. Stedman (Maungakiekie) defeated R. Craig (Taihape), 2 and 1. Semi-finals.—Carr defeated Wells, 2 and 1; Glading defeated Stedman, 2 and 1. OTAGO LADIES’ CLUB An L.G.U. medal match was played yesterday. The following were the best scores:— A Grade.—Mrs Stirling 91—16—75, Mrs Macpherson 92—14—78, Mrs Campbell 94 —15—79, Mrs Callender 97—18 —79. B Grade.—Mrs H.
