ROLLER SKATING TO-NIGHT
Expert instructors are in attendance at the new De Luxe Pink, Filleul street (opposite the Town Hall), to coach beginners. Equipped with modern noiseless floor, new skates, and new inusio the new rink has attracted many newcomers to skating. To-night’s programme, from 7.30 to 10, includes the latest skating numbers, with competitions and prizes. There are sessions daily between 12 and 2 p.m., afternoons 230 to 4.30, learners’ class (Monday, to Friday) 5.30 to 6.45 p.m., and every evening at 7,30. The instructional staff is in attendance at all sessions, and private tuition may be arranged. Telephone 10-692. , To-morrow afternoon a children • plain and fancy dress carnival will he held from 2.30' to 5. Prizes are being awarded for the best dressed and the most humorous girl and boy, with numerous other prizes for the special competition. Paper hats, caps streamers. balloons, and novelties will be distributed during the carnival. The New; Zealand amateur roller skating championships will bo held on September 1 and 2, with competitors from all part# of the Dominion taking part.
