ATTRACTIONS AT DE LUXE RINK
To-night’s session at the now De T/iixe "Rink, Filleul street, opposite the Town Hall, includes prizes for the skating competitions. The programme will feature the latest dance-skate numbers. The instructional staff is in attendance to assist learners. On Friday afternoon a children’s plain and fancy dress
carnival will be held, with special prizes for the best-dressed and the most humorous girl and boy, in addition to numerous prizes for the competitions. Hats, caps, streamers, balloons, and novelties will be distributed during the carnival, which will commence at 2.30 and conclude at 5 p.m. The New Zealand amateur roller skating championships, in which competitors from all parts of the Dominion will take part, will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 1 and 2. Patrons arc advised to reserve their seats for the championships. The rink is open dailv from 10.30 to 12; 12 to 2; 2.30 to 4.30: 5.30 to G. 45, and every evening at 7.30.
