BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Next Monday will see the Otago amateur boxing championships decided for another year. Kutrics from Canterbury, Southland, and all parts of Otago will assist in making a splendid night s entertainment. As the Competitions Society has been good enough to grant the Boxing Association one night out of its season there can be no other course than to stage over one night. Such largo entries will probably necessitate an early start, and the actual starting time will he advertised on Thursday of this week. The New Zealand championships this year are being held in Invercargill, and the Otago Association has decided that, providing worthy representatives can be found in each weight, a full team will represent Otago. With this fact in mind it will be appreciated that all competitors will be fully extended to obtain a place in the Otago team. The box plan is now open at Jacobs’s. Full details are advertised.
