Wellington, covering the southern districts—-Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Tapanui, Winion, Invercargill, Rivefton, Orepuki, Halfmoou Bay:— Pressure is uniform over the Dominion, but a series of Weak westerly ‘depressions is advancing over tho Tasman Sea. Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds, aorth-West to southwest later predominating and. freshening. Weather fine at first, but later becoming unsettled, more especially in the west. Temperatures cold, with some hard frosts, and possibly morning fogs. Seas slight. . . LOCAL REPORT. Maximum temperature to-day, 41 .8 deg. ■ Maximum yesterday (24 hours), 41.3 deg.
