Woolworths Properties contribs., paid 10s, found a steady market. Dunlop Rubbers, 1.C.1. prefs., and A. closed unchanged, while B. lost fractional ground. Metals were inactive, the only declared buyer offering £1 7s 9d for Lyells. Bank of New Zealands continued to recover ground, and the call finished with buyers on the £1 19s mark. Insurances were well sought, while other early sections remained steady. Industrials to stand out included Donaghy’s Ropes, which closed between £2 7s 6d£2 9s, Dominion Fertilisers £1 8s 6d£l 4s 6d, and-New Zealand Breweries, which were wanted at the better valuation of £1 17s 6d.
