NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

SMITH TO REPRESENT- WANGANUI [Pen United Press Association.] WANGANUI. January 30. The Wanganui Swimming Centre decided to nominate L. Smith for the 100yds and 220yds breast stroke events at the national swimming championships at Invercargill. Smith held the title for eight seasons prior to losing it at New Plymouth. He has announced that this will be his last season of competitive swimming.
