[From Ode Oaimro Coerwpondint. | ROAD SAFETY. A big procession—the main feature of road salety week—was watched by crowds ot people in Oamaru yesterday morning. In addition to the Transport Uepartmeut's sis tioats, the procession comprised the Waitaki Boys' High School Baud, about 20U Waituki boys with bicycles, children of the various primary schools, trucks of local firms, and breakdown trucks. After the parade, addresses were given at Takaro Park by the mayor (Air K. Familton), Tramc-inspeetor P. Laughton, and Mr James Uerrie (Automobile Association). The procession was a most impressive one. COLLIE DOG CLUB. The Waitaki Collie Dog Club completed its year with a profit of £ls. As over £l2O was given m prizes, this result was highly satisfactory. At the annual meeting it was decided to bold the same events and give the same prize money. Mr VV. R. Macaulay was re-elected president and Mr B. 11. Wilkinson secretary. The committee was re-elected, with the addition of Messrs It. Gibson and D. M'Kenzie. Messrs A. C. Sutton, J. 0. H. Tripp, A. M. Robertson, and A. Patterson were elected life, members. Mrs Ross was elected patroness. A donation of £3 3s was made to the Kurow Rest Room, and £2 2s to the health stamp fund. OBITUARY. The death has occurred of Miss Agues hiigour Wilson, of ivakauui, at the age ot 75 years. Miss Wilauu arrived with her parents in 1863 at Port Chalmers from Southampton in the sailing ship Crest of the Waves. Aftei a short residence in Dunediu Mr Wilson and family came to Oamaru." and he built for himself at Kakanui the first Oamaru stone house. There Miss Wilson had lived' for 67 years. Deceased was very greatly respected in the district for her good works. A BIG FUNERAL. The funeral of Mr Archibald A. M'W illiam, late county clerk of Waihemo County and town clerk of Hampden, was one of the largest seen in the district for many years. The Revs. Harkuess and Freeman were the officiating ministers, and a Masonic service was heldi at the graveside by the Palmerston Lodge, led by W.M. Bro. T. Brydone. The pall-bearers at the house were Messrs S., J., V., and D. M'Williarn, Mr Archibald M'Willian (a grandson), and Mr Ludeinann. At the cemetery the pall-bearers were Messrs J. O'Connell (chairman, Waihemo County Council), W. Gillies (Hampden Borough Council), A. B. Lang (Hampden Borough Council), W. A. Mureott (Mayor of Hampden), W. B. Galloway (Mayor of Palmerston). and W. H. Mureott (Hampden).
