AUSTRALIAN MINING WEAKENS QUIET PERIOD CONTINUES The lethargic trend that has dominated proceedings on the local investment market continued this morning, the only feature that _ made the call different to the conditions ruling yesterday being the further weakening of Australian mining issues. Again Government loans received comparatively good attention on both sides of the sheet, and there was a sale reported of 4 per cent, stocks (19434 6). . The only conspicuous movement in shipjping issues was in P. and 0. deferred stocks, a seller asking Is 6d Jess than yesterday without attracting a buyer SALES EEPOSRTED. —This Morning.— N.Z.
