REFRIGERATION INDUSTRY
WORLD CONGRESS AT WELLINGTON [Peb United Press Association.] WELLINGTON. November 22. An announcement that a world congress of the refrigeration industry would be held in Wellington during tbs centennial year was-made by the president of the New Zealand Association of (Refrigeration (Mr F. W. Grainger)', at a dinner given to-night in honour of Mr F. L. Goodman, honorary secretary of the New South Wales Institute of Refrigerating. Mr Goodman is one of the founders and a past president of the institute, of which he ia now honorary secretary, and founder of the Victorian (now Australian) Institute of Refrigeration. Mr Grainger said that Mr Goodman had taken a prominent (part in a recent conference of refrigeration experts in Sydney. In 1940 it was proposed to hold a world congress in Wellington, and already offers of assistance had been received from New South Wales* Mr Goodman said that the conference in Sydney was marked by some very interesting papers from New Zealand. They were all looking forward to the New Zealand congress in 1940, and he was sure it would be a great! success. The Dominion could depend upon the wholehearted support of New South Wales. They were hoping that the congress would take place during the middle of 1940 to suit the convenience of delegates to the World Dairy Conference, which was to be held about, that time.
