BOWLING CHAMPION
ARRIVAL OF MR K. I. CROSS TO TAKE PART IN DOMINION TOURNAMENT [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 23. Mr C. P. Cross, Mrs Cross, and their son, Mr K. I. Cross, arrived by the Westralia to-day, on a visit: to New Zealand, after an absence of some years. Mr K. I. Cross won the singles bowling championship of England in August, but does not want it thought that it is because of that he is out here again. They are on a holiday which will extend over several months, and the father and son hope to run round as on their previous stay, playing bowls. : Mr K. T. Cross also hopes to take part in the New Zealand bowling: tournament, though he has not come out expressly for that purpose. Mr Cross, son., is president of the Hampshire County Bowling Association, and, with his son won the Eastbourne open pairs tourney. Mr Cross, jun., who is now 27, is the second youngest player to have won tho English title. It was won by Webber in 1925 at the age of 25.
