Riverton, Orepuki. Halfmoon Bay:— A moderate anti-cyclone is passing by to the north, but a shallow westerly depression is beginning to cross the South Island. Pressure hss risen again, over the South-west Tasman SeaForecast : Moderate but freshening north-westerly winds, changing shortly to strong southerlies; weather changeable. and with intermittent rain; temperatures becoming colder; seas rather rough to rough in the south, elsewhere moderate, but later rising. - LOCAL CONDITIONS. v After a mild night, this morning in Dunedin broke fine but overcast, while there was littlq wind. Towards noon there was a heavy cloudbank over the city, and light rain commenced to fall. Barometric pressure was steady at 29.65 in at noon, when it seemed- likely that the afternoon, and evening would be showery and unsettled. OTHER CENTRES.
