WOMAN CREATES SCENE IN LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY CHAINS HERSELF TO GALLERY RAIL Preai Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, October 26. ((Received October 27, at 8 a.m.) A woman dressed in riding breeches, boots, and coatee created a scene in the Legislative Assembly this afternoon.* She chained herself to the gallery rail and cried out for justice and fair play, and vehemently protested against the Minister of Education’s ban on her exhibition of posters* in schools, precluding her from earning a livelihood. Parliamentary officials remonstrated with her, and had to obtain a hacksaw to remove the shackles. Thex then escorted her out of the House.
