(Received October 21. at, 11 a.m.) Sir John Simon sent a letter to Mr Quinton Hogg stating that th() times through which the country was passing required it to be united and strong, and expressed the hope that the Oxford electors would make their contribution to that end by returning Mr Hogg. Mr A. D. Lindsay received a message from Sir Archibald Sinclair saying that they were asking the Liberal voters at Oxford to give them their whole-hearted support.
