The sequel to the alleged armed hold* up at Chaney’s Corner on Tuesday night was heard in the Court this morning, when Cynl Jamea Martiu-Leverson' ' appeared. Martin* Leverson, a storekeeper and mechanic, aged 24, was charged, that on October 18, at Christchurch, he robbed Kenneth James Halligan of £24 in money* the property of Motorways Ltd. Chief-detective W. H. Dunlop said the accused was arrested yesterday, and the police desired a remand until October 27 The magistrate refused a request for bail.
