WATERSIDE AWARD
PROTRACTED PROCEEDINGS [Peb United Pkess Association.) AUCKLAND, October 20. Although the Auckland sittings of the Conciliation Council, which is at present considering claims fm a new Dominion award for waterside workers, will probably be completed to-mor-row, it is likely to bo some time next month before negotiations are brought to finality. Arrangements have been made for” the council to hear ■ further evidence in Napier, Dunedin, and Wellington, after which consideration will be given to the major points in the dispute between the parties. The proceedings in Auckland have been conducted in camera.
