MR GEORGE EDGAR

Mr George Edgar, whose funeral takes place to-morrow, was an esteemed member of the community at Port Chalmers. For several years, he was a member of the Borough Council and held the position of acting-mayor for a time. He was an outstanding player in the local bowling club. Best known as an engineer in the Union Company’s service, Mr Edgar’s decease will be widely regretted; also amongst members of the Masonic Order.
