■mu MEETING Mr J. Friend (president) was in the chair at the monthly meeting of the above society. , Mr J. A. Boswell, Anderson s Bay. wrote regarding the old Engluh game sections and the inclusion of blackbreasted red game in the next show schedule. —Referred to the Schedule Committee. , , ~ , , , It was decided to hold a two days show next year and to apply to the association for June 30 and July 1 as the most suitable dates. Advice was received from Mr IR. W. Brown. Dunedin, that he desired the cup he was presenting to be called the Jubilee Cup for best fancy pigeon in show, to be won twice, not necessarily in succession, and open to all-comers. Received. . Two remits were received from the Balclutha Society for consideration at the conference—“ That in view of the general trend toward single classes at shows in other countries, a single standard be evolved for each breed “ that members of the Cage (Birds Federation be .eligible to compete at association shows, provided that they first become a member of the club at whose show they wish to exhibit. The first remit caused considerable discussion. and eventually it was decided to support the remit, provided the standard was approximately about the same as the present utility standard. Regarding the other remit, members were of the opinion that it would be too much to expect the federation members to become members of several clubs, and it was decided to support or forward a remit— ■“ That federation members be allowed to compete at association shows provided they are members of any affiliated club.”
