(Received October 20, at 11 a.m.) The death has occurred of Mr David Comber, aged 92, of Blacktown, New South Wales, who claimed to be the oldest living campaigner against the Maoris. • Mr Comber, at the age of 18, was the youngest member of a contingent sent to suppress the outbreaks among the Natives at Wanganui and in Taranaki.
