TRAPPED IB BURNIHG WHARE NEIGHBOUR'S UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT AT RESCUE [Per United Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, October 19. Tho body of George M'Cauley, a sawmiller, burned beyond recognition, was found in the remains of a whare at Inglewood early this morning. Apparently M'Cauley had been awakened and endeavoured to escape, but was overcome by smoke and collapsed near the doorway. An effort was made by a neighbour to rescue M‘Cauley when the alarm was given, but he was driven back bv the flames, which completely destroyed the whare. M'Cauley was well known in the Taumarunui district.
