REGISTERED PACKETS DISAPPEAR POST OFFICE INVESTIGATING OTRANTO MYSTERY Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, October 18. The ‘ Daily Mail ’ says the Post Office is investigating the theft of nearly 100 registered packets from ft mailbag during the Otranto’s voyage from Australia to London. The theft was not discovered until the bag was examined last Sunday. Many other letters had been slit open.
