OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS The increasing popularity of table tennis as an indoor sport is proved by the number of entries for this year’s championships. Based on last year’s figures, the entries this year represent an increase of approximately 40 per cent, in all events. The Otago championships this year will be played on two nights, and even then it is very doubtful whether the lengthy programme can be handled in the time allotted.
