Vidal (Dunedin) in the first round of the New Zealand amateur billiards championship, played at the Returned Soldiers’ Club room this morning. They did not appear to play with their usual confidence, and several shots were missed. The game occupied almost three hours, the scoring being to 666. The following were the scores:— Albertson 666 , Vidal 525 Breaks were: —Albertson; 24, 41, 49 (2), 25. 66. 30. 37. Vidal: 29, 34, 30, 24. 21 (2), 28, 24.
