BRUTAL ATTACK
P.W. FOREMAN'S ALLEGATION ROBBED BY NATIVES [Pun United Press Association.] ROTORUA, July 4. Allegations that lie had been brutally attacked, knocked down, and robbed of about £7 were made to tho police by George W. Johnston, aged 48, a Public Wonlis foreman, on Saturday evening. Johnston, who later was admitted to the hospital with severe facial injuries, stated that he had been accosted by two Natives at the corner of Arawa and Raugiuru streets about 6 p.m. He alleged that the Natives dragged him along the road for some distance, robbing him of £7 while he lay unconscious on the footpath.
