NR A. B. CORMCAN Press 'Association—By Telegraph—Copyright TOKIO, June 18. The death has occurred of a New Zealander, Mr A. B. Corrigan, who was a resident of Tokio for 20 years. Mr A. B. Corrigan (says a Wellington Press message) was born about 59 years ago, the son of the late John Corrigan, of the Bedfordshire Regiment, who served in Halifax and the Barbadoes. He was formerly on the staff of the ‘ New Zealand Times,’ but left New Zealand in 1915 for Japan on a publicity mission. He remained in Japan in business. OR G. E. BARNETT BALTIMORE, June 17. The death has occurred of Dr George Ernest Barnett. SENATOR COPELAND NEW YORK, June 18. The death has occurred of Senator Copeland. HR JACK HIDES SYDNEY. June 20. (Received June 20, at 10.10 a.ui.) Mr Jack Hides, explorer and author, died after several weeks in hospital suffering from pneumonia; aged 31. He achieved an international reputation before he was 30 for his exploratory work in Papua. The hardships he endured in his vain attempt to save hu friend Lyall’s life lowered his resistance.
