RAILWAY DISASTER
TRAIN PLUNGES INTO GREEK ACCIDENT ON CHICAGO-SEATTLE LINE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CHICAGO, Juno 19. (Received June 20, at 10.10 a.m.) A passenger train from Chicago to Seattle plunged into a creek when a bridge collapsed after heavy rain had undermined the pier. It is estimated that 20 people were drowned and 60 injured. The engine, baggage and mail cars, two coaches, and two sleepers were submerged. The engine crew, baggage man and mail clerk were among the fatalities.
