DOUBLE BOXING BILL
TWO PROFESSIONAL CONTESTS The Match Committee of the Otago Boxing Association had to work overi time to ensure the staging of the big double professional boxing bill at the Town Hall on Monday next; and the 12-round contest between Clarrie Mar- ’ shall, of Gisborne, and Stan Jenkin, of Oamaru, should be worth going a long way to see. Marshall will arrive by air to-morrow, and after his brilliant win against Cyril Pluto at Auckland on Monday night his appearance will b« keenly awaited. The Gisborne fighter has bad 125 contests as an amateur and professional, and has lost only eight, Ms victims including some of the best welter and middle-weights on the amateur aide of the game. Jenkin is in tiptop shape, and the bout should be fast and willing from gong to gong. It will be supported by a ' 10-round professional match between Lex Qreaney, of Dunedin, and Jim •Mitchell, of Christchurch, and) a special' four-round amateur bout he- . tween Neil Leckie, of Dunedin, and £.
