Mr A. J. Gilbert, general traffic man-* ager of the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, is at present on a visit to Dunedin.

Mr T. R. Toovey, Australian and New Zealand representative of the Port of London Authority, left to-day by the express for Wellington.

Mr A. Campbell, M.P., left this morning for Wellington to attend a meeting of the Maori Advisory Board. Mr James Begg, bound for Welling-t ton, was a passenger by the express tbia morning. - Mr J ames Lobb left by the express to-day on a short visit to Auckland. . Yesterday morning the Board dfi. Governors of John M'Glashan College met in the office of the Mr, T. C. Ross, to bid farewell to Miss C.E. Glendinning, „ who till recently ha»been secretary to the college. Mr Ross paid tribute to Miss Glendinnihg’s services over a long period of years, and conveyed to her the'board’s best wishes for her future happiness in ter married life in Scotland. The board presented to Mies Glendinning a portfolio of view* of Central Otago and Dunedin. Mr H. C, Watson, formerly curator at the Carisbrook Ground, and now of Eden Park, Auckland, is spending a few days in Dunedin on holiday. Mr Watson was an Otago representative cricketer and a successful coach. H« was also associated with Rugby football* mainly as a referee..
