DEFICIT OF £21,583 [Per United Press Association.J CHRISTCHURCH, May 7. A deficiency of £21,583 is shown in the Christchurch Tramway Board’s revenue account for the past financial year. This figure shows an increase of £1,325 over the previous yearly return. The earning from the operation of the service totalled £218,384, an increase of £18,927. Operating expenses were £164,169, the increase in this case being £16,592. Standing charges amounting to £75,798 mainly accounted for the deficiency. The loan liability was reduced by £23,000 during the year.
