The cyclone located yesterday ■ near Norfolk Island is now centred about 20D 'miles east of. Cape Maria Van Dieman,' and : is moving south-eastwards. Forecast: Light _to moderate southerly winds r prevailing. Weather, mainly fine and cold; but with’ a few scattered showers in coastal;areas. Seas slight t to moderate, but increasing. COOL AFTER RAIN. About 9 o’clock last evening rain began to fall, the amount registered at the Gardens until the .same hour this morning being .03in. Temperatures this morning were much' lower than over the previous few days, while the wind had swung from a south-westerly to a north-easterly direction. -The maximum thermometer reading ‘at midday' ’was 64.2 deg, and the minimum 62deg. Barometric pressure in the. city ,was falling at 29.85 in at this time, when the sky was moderately overcast. Yesterday over a period of 24 hours’the respective thermometer registration# were 63.9 deg and 43deg. ‘. '
