ISLAND STAMPS Cook and Niue Groups THE illustrations show two of the three new stamps which will be Issued next year by each of the Pacific Island groups of Niue and Cook Islands. The values are 1/, 2/, and 3/, and In each denomination the vignettes for both places will be the WWW m mm# m m same, but the borders will be of different designs. In the 1/ stamp the central feature will be the portrait of King George i VI. The 2/ and 3/ stamps will each show local scenery. The borders for all values and the centres for the 2/ and 3/ stamps are the work of Mr. J. Berry, of Wellington. The vignette for the 1/ value and the dies and plates have been produced by Messrs. Bradbury, Wilkinson, and Co. Ltd., of London. The stamps, which will be bicoloured, are being printed at the Government Printing Office, Wellington.
