REAPPEARANCE IN 4YA PROGRAMMES Two special programmes, regularly featured from 4YA during the greater part of last year, are to make their reappearance at the station# next week. The first will be heard on Tuesday evening at 7.30, when Miss M. I. Turnbull will introduce for the 1938 season the adult education session, which will be known to listeners under the heading of ' The Whirligig of Time.’ Last year, it will be remembered, the talks in this session were given under the title of ‘ This Changing World.’ The first of the current year’s talks, with thematic illustrations, on ‘ Masterpieces of Music,’ will be given by Dr V. E. Galway on Thursday at 9.20 p.m.

Monday evening’s plays will be * Avalanche.’ produced in the studios by G. B. Niven, and a recorded George Edwards production, ‘ The Mystery Club.’ Artists to be heard from the during the week will be the Novelettes Trio, in instrumental numbers; T. E. West, in tenor solos; Leslie J. Dunbar (baritone), and Mary Pratt (contralto). In addition to a series of recorded and studio talks on matters of interest, Mr C. G.
