APPLICATIONS FOR JOBS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—ln your last night’s issue I notice a letter headed “ Applications for Jobs.” This correspondent complains of answering advertisements and receiving no reply from the prospective employer as to whether the position is filled or not. May I state that in many cases, the prospective employees are as thoughtless as the prospective employers? I advertised for a man a few days ago, received 30 answers, bought 30 stamps, and wasted two days waiting for these men to turn up at different stated times, and only three arrived. —I am, etc., The Otheb Foot.
