APPEAL TO HONESTY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I lost a large sum of money iu South Dunedin this week, I advertised, but had no luck. I was told X may never see it again, but I bad more faith in human nature, being an honest person myself. I have two children and know what it is to be hard up. Would not the person or persons who found the money like to get it back if they had lost it? They may be hard up, too, but do unto others as you would like them to do to you. —I am, etc., 'YFebruary 23.
