TWENTY-EIGHT MEN FINED [Per Unitrd Press Association.] , ./AUCKLAND, February 14. * r As a sequel to the raid on a gambling school in the Queen’s Arcade on Friday night, when one man escaped by making a sensational leap through a skylight, 28 men were charged in the Police Court this, morning. James Joyce, a labourer, for using the premises as a common gaming house, was fined £25. The 27 other men were charged' with being found on the premises, and were fined from £2 to'£s.
