ILLICIT ARMS DEAL
PREVENTED BY FRENCH SECRET POLICE Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright PARIS, February 12. Men of the French Secret Service, posing as agents of General Franco, prevented an important illicit deal in arms. They were summoned by the prospective buyer to Rocheford Cafe, near a secret store of thousands of rifles, machine gnns, grenades, and other munitions.
The buyer wrote a cheque for £320,000, and then discovered himself handcuffed to the man*to whom he'was handing it. Two others were also arrested.
