COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS
ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL MEETING An appeal to all travellers in. the district to give the organisation their full support was made to members of the Commercial Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Association of Otago at the annual meeting last night by the retiring president (Mr Arthur Clapp). Thera was an attendance of about 40 members. The chairman, who briefly moved the adoption of the annual report and bal-ance-sheet, referred to the death of Mr C. L. Pinner, who passed away last year. He "had been president for two months. Mr H! W. M'Lean, who seconded the motion, spoke of the attractions offered to its members by the association. The association, said Mr M'Lean, was making steady progress. The report and balance-sheet were adopted without further discussion, and motions of thanks were passed to the retiring office-bearers. The election of office-bearers for the. ensuing year resulted a§ follows:—President, Mr W. H, M'Lean; vice-presi-dents—Messrs R. S. Glendining, A. G, Hewitt, and H. G. Eckhoff; committee —Messrs G. F. Aubry. R. W. H. Cherry, C. J. Jarvis, J. H. Lennon, C. O. Mathias, D. Y. M. Miller, B. M. Rodger. C. V. Smith, A. Wright, and E. G. Williams; hon. treasurer, Mr J., T. Gillan; auditor, Mr J. W. Smeaton.
