SUNDAY SERVICES
At First Church the Rev. \V. Allen Steyely will conduct the services. His morning subject will be ‘As For Me,’ and in the evening ‘ The Eight Answer.’ The music will include the anthem ‘ Now Thank We All Our Go'd.’ Dr .V, E. Galway will bp the organist. The Eev. D. C. Herron, M.A., will conduct , both services in Knox Church. His subject in the evening will be ‘As Sheep Not Having a Shepherd.’ In St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church the morning subject will be ‘ What Is Meant by the Gospel?’ and the subject in the evening ‘ Temptation and How to Overcome.’ At both services the preacher will be the Eev. Thomas Miller. The services at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church will bo conducted by the Eev. A. C. W. Standage, the subjects being ‘ The Vital Issues at Stake To-day ’ and ‘ The Discipline of Temptation.’ The Rev. C. H. Olds will preach on ‘ The Passion to Excel ’ and ‘ Creed _ and Conduct ’ ’in the morning and evening respectively at Trinity Methodist Church. In the evening Mias Doris Darracot will sing ‘ The Beautiful Prayer.’ Mr C. Chirnside and Missioner D. J. Robertson will conduct both services at Glenavon, preaching in the evening on ' Studies on Life in a Christian Community ’ and ‘ The Helpful Member.’ Miseioner D. J. Robertson will preach at Woodhaugh at 11 a.m. In preparation for the bi-centenary of Methodism, which occurs in May next, one of a series of addresses will be given by the Rev. T. Skuse at St. Kilda. in the evening. ‘ The Magnetic Power of Jesus ’ is the morning subject. Cargill Road Methodist Church services will be conducted by Rev. Geo. Densem morning and by Rev. H. C. Orchard in the evening. The choir will render the anthem ‘ O Gladsome Light.’ At St. Clair Church Rev. H. C. Orchard will preach at 11 a.m. and Rev. G. Densem at 6.30 p.m. The services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church will be conducted by the Eev. J. Ewen Simpson. The morning subject will be ‘ The Value of Faithfulness.’ The choir will present the hymn study, ‘ Come Thou, O Come,’ and a sextet will sing ‘ In Jesus. The evening subject will be ‘ Christ and the Man Who Fails,’ and the anthem ‘ Holy, Holy, Holy.’ Tne services at the North-east Valley Baptist Church will-be conducted by Rev. J. K. Reid. Two subjects of great importance to our age will be dealt with—ll, ‘God, The Holy Ghost,’ and at 6.30, ‘ Tho Benediction.’ The Rev. R. L. Fursdon will be the preacher at tho Cavcrsham Baptist Church. The morning address is entitled ‘ The Sower,’ and at night the subject is ‘ Living by Bread.’ At the Congregational Church, Moray Place, tho Rev. Albert Mead will conduct both services. The subject in the morning will be ‘ A Child’s Future,’ and in the evening ‘ The Magnetism of Love.’ At the evening service the choir will render the anthem ‘ Come Unto Me,’ and Miss Agnes Guy will sing ‘ O Divine Redeemer.’ At the Salvation Army at 11 a.m. the subject will be ‘ Not Now, But Afterwards.’ Speaker, Brigadier Buttermore, of Christchurch. At 3 p.m. there will be a praise and testimony meeting, and at 7 p.m. tho subject will be ‘ When Life's Boundaryline Recedes.’ Speaker, Adjutant Victor Dick. Evening service, a memorial to late Adjutant L. Russell. Anthem, ‘ln God’s To-morrow.’ Choir leader, Bro. Wm. Baylis. At the Spiritualist Church in the evening Mr L. G. Newton will give an inspirational address entitled ‘The Way to Righteousness.’ There will be a meeting of members after the service. The Healing Centro will meet as usual on Monday evening. At the Theosopliical Society there will bo an address by Miss C. Dalziel, the subject being ‘ The Life of a Pilgrim.” At the Greater World Christian Spiritual Mission the Rev. G. Brooks will give some personal experiences, taking for her subject ‘ Individuality After Death.’ Clairvoyance will follow.
