POLICE COURT
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender was fined 20s, in default 48 hours’ imprisonment. Another first offender was fined 10s, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. Walter James Wallace was fined 12s 6d, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. Leslie Spencer Wilson was fined 10s, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment, for drunkenness, and 205,. in default 48 hours’, for casting offensive matter in Carroll street. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. Albert Jackson (50) admitted a charge of using obscene language in Carroll street. Senior-sergeant Packer said two constables in Carroll street at 11.45 last night were investigating another complaint when accused and two others came down the street and Jackson used the language complained of. Two women were standing with the constables. Jackson said he had had a few drinks and the hour was late. Language was not a habit with him and ha had never been in court before. , He was fined £2, with witness’s expenses (8s), in default seven days’ imprisonment.
