RECALLED TO RUSSIA
SOVIET EMBASSY OFFICIALS SPECULATION RIFE Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 15. The * Daily Mail ’ says speculation is rife regarding the future of .the Soviet Embassy officials who have just been recalled to Russia, where the second secretary, M. Anton Schuster, has been for a fortnight. •• Those recalled were Arelev Ghikunski, naval attache; A. K. Sivkov, military attache; and Ivan Cherney, air attache. The last’ two succeeded M. Putna, who, after his recall, died in gaol branded as a Trotskyist. * The ' Daily Mirror ’ says M. Maisky, the Soviet Ambassador, expected to leave London for Leningrad next Friday. The paper ’ connects the recall of M. Maisky’s attaches with Stalin’s purge, and says: “M.'Maisky might refuse to go, but has a daughter living in Russia, and thought of her safety might dictate obedience to orders.”-
