A THRILLING MATCH

BROMWICH BEATS CRAWFORD SYDNEY, November 12. Bromwich, and Crawford staged a thrilling match to-day in the semifinal of the New South Wales lawn tennis . championship, Bromwich win-* ning, 6-3, 6-1, 8-6. A large crowd was stirred by excellent rallies. In the first set Bromwich, by sheer consistency and accuracy, wore Crawford down. The latter, in the second set, lost many points, netting and overhitting in desperate attempts for winners. He fought back in great style in the third set, but Bromwich answered every call in the manner of a veteran. Quist defeated M'Grath in the other semi-final match, the score being 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-1.
