Piloting a Schmidt plane, Herr Wurster, chief pilot at the Bavarian Aeroplane Works, claims a land-plane record of 378 miles an hour. DOUGLAS AIRLINER FOR AUSTRALIA SYDNEY, November 12. The most modern type of airliner, a giant Douglas D.C.3, with cabin accommodation for 23 passengers, arrived at Mascot Aerodrome to-day from Melbourne. It will join the Brisbane-Syd-ney-Melbourne-Adelaide air service. TWO MILLION MILES FLOWN AMSTERDAM, November 12. (Received November 13, at 8 a.m.) Smirnoff, the K.L.M. ace pilot, has passed the 2,000,000 miles mark, a world record.
